Colton Makin began their work experience in May 2021 as an Information Security Analyst at 1ST SUMMIT BANK. Colton later transitioned to the role of Information Security Engineer in November 2022. In 2023, they joined Concurrent Technologies Corporation as a Cyber Security Engineer.

Colton Makin obtained a Bachelor's degree in Information Security and Risk Analysis from Penn State Altoona between 2015 and 2019. Colton also earned additional certifications, including the Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA) Certified Administrator from Zscaler in May 2023 and the CompTIA Security+ certification from CompTIA in October 2021.
