Forrest Small has extensive experience in the energy consulting industry, with a focus on grid modernization, smart grid technologies, and clean energy resources. Forrest is currently the Senior Vice President at Concentric Energy Advisors. Prior to this role, they served as the Senior Managing Director at Black & Veatch Management Consulting, LLC. Before entering the consulting field, Forrest worked as a Manager at Arthur D. Little and held various roles at Central Maine Power Company, including Manager of Transmission Services and Transmission Planning Engineer. In these roles, they managed transmission service contracts and analyzed and planned electric power transmission systems. Overall, Forrest Small's work experience demonstrates their expertise in grid modernization, smart grid technologies, and clean energy resources.

Forrest Small started their education journey in 1981 at Maranacook High School, where they obtained a diploma in 1985. Forrest then attended the University of Maine from 1985 to 1989 and earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE). Following that, they pursued further education at the University of Maine and obtained a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering (MSEE) from 1989 to 1991. Moving towards their interest in business, they enrolled at the University of Southern Maine - School of Business from 1991 to 1996, where they completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a specialization in Business Administration and Strategy. In terms of certifications, Forrest Small is a licensed Professional Engineer (Electrical) since 1996, administered by the Board of Licensure for Professional Engineers.
