Dirk Tarman is a seasoned professional in mechanical engineering with a diverse background in both engineering and public service. Currently serving as a City Council Member for Oakridge since January 2023, Dirk also holds the position of Senior Mechanical Engineer at Con-Vey since February 2021. Previous roles include Engineering Manager and Mechanical Engineering Manager at SparTek Industries, as well as several mechanical engineering positions at companies such as TopTier Palletizers, Agilyx, APEX Block Corporation, and KPI-JCI and Astec Mobile Screens. Dirk's expertise encompasses the design and development of mechanical systems, compliance with certification standards, and the creation of fabrication and layout drawings. Dirk earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Portland State University and a Transfer Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Lane Community College.
