Vishal Oberoi currently serves as the Group Head of Compliance at Nexi Group since July 2022 and as Co-Chair of the Board of Trustees at Thomas’s Foundation from October 2023. Additionally, Vishal is a Trustee at Computop and a Board Observer at Nets, while also holding the position of Chief Compliance Officer for Nordics at Nets. Prior experience includes a notable tenure at Standard Chartered Bank from March 2013 to July 2022, where Vishal held multiple senior roles including Managing Director and Chief Risk Officer for Group Functions, overseeing Operational Risk and Compliance. Vishal also served as Chief of Staff to the Group COO, where responsibilities included implementing new operational methodologies, and previously led Global Head roles in Financial Crime Compliance and Middle Office functions. Early career paths included positions at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Merrill Lynch, and Citi, with a foundational degree in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University.
