Maeve Naughton-Rockwell is a skilled Data Scientist currently contracting at the Naval Research Laboratory through Computational Physics, Inc., where development of machine learning pipelines for object detection in Synthetic Aperture Radar imagery is underway. Notable academic achievements include conducting an Honors Thesis on the automated detection of deforestation in satellite imagery, which received the Outstanding Honors Thesis in Data Science award in 2022 at William and Mary. Naughton-Rockwell has also contributed to various research projects, including working with DHS stakeholders on satellite imagery analysis and presenting at the Society for Conservation GIS Annual International Conference.
