John Croushorn

Founder and Chief Medical Officer at Compression Works Inc.

John Croushorn is an experienced professional with a diverse work background. John founded Compression Works Inc. in 2007 and served as the Chief Medical Officer. In this role, they focused on the development of Hemorrhage Control products, particularly the Abdominal Aortic and Junctional Tourniquet. Prior to that, they worked as an Emergency Medicine Physician at Shelby Baptist Medical Center starting from 2016. From 2013 to 2016, they held a similar role at Princenton Baptist Medical Center. John also worked as an Emergency Medicine Physician at Trinity Medical Center from 2005 to 2013. Before their medical career, John served as a Command Surgeon at Task Force 185 AVN from 2004 to 2005. John also worked as an Associate at the Counterproliferation Center from 2000 to 2001.

John Croushorn completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical Engineering from Auburn University in the span of 1990 to 1994. Following this, they pursued a medical career and obtained a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from the University of South Alabama between 1996 and 2000. In 2000, they undertook an internship at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Later, from 2001 to 2004, they attended the University of Mississippi Medical Center where they completed the Emergency Medicine ABEM program in the field of study.
