Melissa Mackey's work experience begins in 1989 as an Advertising Account Executive at Lansing State Journal. Melissa then moved on to work as the Marketing Director at Magazineline from 1996 to 2007. From 2007 to 2012, they served as an Online Marketing Manager at Fluency Media. Melissa then joined gyro in 2012 as a Search Supervisor, overseeing paid search and social advertising for an international client base. At gyro, they developed successful marketing programs until 2021. Melissa then joined Merkle as Associate Director of Paid Search, where they developed paid search and social strategies for enterprise B2B clients until 2023. Melissa's most recent role is Director of Paid Search at Compound Growth Marketing, starting in 2023.

Melissa Mackey obtained a Dual BA in Marketing and Telecommunication from Michigan State University from 1983 to 1988. Melissa then pursued a Masters of Management in Marketing at Aquinas College - Grand Rapids from 1991 to 1994.
