Carolynn Chavez has diverse work experience starting from 2004 and spanning across multiple companies. Their most recent role is as a Developer at ComplyAuto since October 2021. Prior to that, they served as a Programmer II at Integrits Corporation from July 2018 to October 2021. From December 2016 to July 2018, Carolynn worked as a Web Developer and briefly as an Administrative Assistant at Unisys. Carolynn was an Executive Secretary at Galpin Motors, Inc. from June 2007 to March 2013. Carolynn began their career as a Barista at Starbucks in 2004.

Carolynn Chavez attended College of the Canyons from 2002 to 2005, where they studied English and journalism. Carolynn then went on to California State University, Northridge from 2005 to 2007, where they obtained a degree in English with a focus on creative writing. Additionally, Carolynn Chavez obtained the certifications "Security+ CE" from CompTIA in July 2017 and "Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP)" from (ISC)² in June 2018.
