Robert Trotta is an experienced energy development professional currently serving as Director of Energy Transition - Development at Competitive Power Ventures since August 2023, focusing on utility-scale decarbonized natural gas generation projects with carbon capture. Previously, Robert held the role of Project Director for the New England Aqua Ventus joint venture at Diamond Offshore Wind, overseeing a floating wind turbine project. Before that, Robert was Director of Development at Key Capture Energy, managing energy storage initiatives, and at E.ON Climate & Renewables, served as Head of Development for solar PV across North America. Robert has also held leadership roles in onshore wind development in both the UK and the US and served as Director of Power Generation at Peoples Energy Resources, where significant milestones were achieved in power generation project development. Robert began a career in project development at Duke Energy North America, working on conventional generation projects. Education includes dual Bachelor's degrees in US History from Western Connecticut State University.
