Wayne Knowles is an ICCP accredited organic petrologist with over 30 years of experience in thermal maturation data analysis. Currently serving as the Lead Organic Petrologist at Stratum Reservoir since May 2019, Wayne specializes in providing high-quality thermal maturation data, including vitrinite and (pyro)bitumen reflectance and kerogen descriptions. Previously, Wayne held the position of Chief Organic Petrologist at Weatherford Laboratories from February 2006 to May 2019, focusing on vitrinite reflectance for shale gas plays. Additionally, Wayne managed Mirror Image Microscopy from 2000 to 2006, consulting for major companies like Shell and BP while advising on geochemical sampling strategies. Wayne's career began at Shell UK Ltd, where initial roles included Assistant Geochemist and Laboratory Technician, gaining extensive training in geochemical analysis. Wayne's educational background includes studies at Open University, Davies's College, and Mill Hill School.
