Marcelo Lopes is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in accounting and project management within the energy and utilities sectors. Current roles at Competitive Power Ventures include Vice President and Project Controller, reflecting strong leadership and project oversight since July 2016. Previously, Lopes served as the Assistant Controller for EMEA at AES Netherlands, overseeing financial operations across multiple regions, and in various capacities at AES Panama and AES Eletropaulo, managing financial reporting and accounting functions. Lopes holds a Certificate in Management from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business and multiple relevant degrees, including an MBA in Finance and a Public Accountant qualification.
