Bill Heeney is a seasoned professional in the energy sector with extensive experience in business development and engineering roles. Currently serving as the Director of Business Development at Competitive Power Ventures since December 2023, Bill has previously held similar director-level positions at Capital Power Corporation from June 2011 to October 2023 and Pure Energy Resources, LLC from 2007 to April 2011. Prior to these roles, Bill was Director of Development Engineering at Calpine from 1998 to 2007 and served as Sr. Manager of Engineering at Stone & Webster from 1991 to 1998. Bill's career in engineering began as a 2nd Assistant Engineering Officer at the US Merchant Marine from September 1988 to May 1991. Bill graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Massachusetts Maritime Academy in 1988, having completed secondary education at Archbishop Williams High School from 1980 to 1984.
