Mogau Aphane has held various analytical positions at The Competition Commission South Africa since September 2011, advancing from Junior Merger Analyst to Principal Analyst. In the role of Senior Analyst in the Mergers and Acquisitions Division, Mogau has been responsible for investigating complex merger cases, engaging with stakeholders, analyzing competition and public interest impacts, and presenting findings at Tribunal hearings. Prior experience includes positions as a Junior Researcher at HSRC, a Research Assistant, and Tutor at the University of the Western Cape. Mogau holds a Master's degree in Economics from the University of the Western Cape and a Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Economics from the University of Limpopo.
