Grace Durham is an experienced educator currently serving as a Teacher at Compass Community Schools since July 2021, and as a Dual Language Elementary Teacher at Shelby County Schools since August 2020. Additionally, Grace has been an Elementary Resident Teacher/Grad Student with Memphis Teacher Residency since May 2019. Previous roles include teaching intermediate elementary and kindergarten at NICS/OASIS from August 2016 to May 2019, where responsibilities included curriculum development and serving as Lead Teacher to facilitate communication between the Elementary team and school administration. Earlier experience includes positions as a Mental Health Specialist at Community Healthcore and a Long Term Substitute Teacher at the School For Little Children, alongside a role as a Life Skills Specialist at Buckner International. Grace holds a Masters in Urban Education, specializing in Elementary Education, from Union University and a degree in Christian Ministry with a minor in Psychology from LeTourneau University.
