Kentaro Shinoda is a seasoned researcher currently serving as a Leader and Senior Research Scientist in the Fine Particle Spray Coating Research Team at the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST) since April 2011. Kentaro has also held positions as a Research Scientist at Shibaura Institute of Technology since April 2015 and acted as a Visiting Associate Professor at the Center for Thermal Spray Research, Stony Brook University from April 2008 to March 2011. Prior experience includes postdoctoral associate roles at the National Institute for Materials Science and Stony Brook University from April 2006 to March 2011. Kentaro obtained a Ph.D. in Materials Engineering, a M.Eng in Metallurgical Engineering, and a B.Eng in Materials, all from The University of Tokyo between 1996 and 2006.
