Welix Klaas is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in software product management and operations, particularly in the domain of Smart Manufacturing. Currently serving as the Head of Software PLM & 3PP Operations at Ericsson since 2017, Welix leads teams focused on digital transformation and new technology introduction. Previous roles at Ericsson include IoT Program Manager, where Welix developed various intelligent manufacturing projects, and Cost Engineer, where Welix established the Cost Engineering function. As a co-founder of COMODULE, Welix also contributed to the design of energy storage solutions for light electric vehicles. Earlier career positions include Business Development Manager at Ehvert Mission Critical, ERP Solutions Consultant at McLean & Laneman, and Head of Internal Audit Unit at BIGBANK AS. Welix holds an MSc in Industrial Engineering and Management from both TalTech and Reykjavik University, as well as a BA in Economics and Business Administration from the University of Tartu.
