Ryan Kim

Legal Advocate For Medicaid Enrollees at Community Service Society of New York

Ryan Kim is currently a Herchel Smith Research Fellow at the Harvard Department of Stem Cell and Regenerative Biology, focusing on the dynamics of fibrosis and epithelial-mesenchymal transition during axolotl limb regeneration. In addition to this role, Ryan participates as a Harvard Presidential Public Service Fellow, selected for a commitment to health advocacy, and serves as a Legal Advocate for Medicaid Enrollees at the Community Service Society of New York, where legal appeals and health policy research are conducted for underinsured patients. Ryan also works as an Emergency Medical Technician with Harvard CrimsonEMS, overseeing events in Cambridge, and has revitalized the organization's CPR and First Aid training program, training over 500 individuals. As the Founder and Creator of Flying Pig Art, Ryan has produced over 200 original animal drawing tutorials to support wildlife conservation. Previously, Ryan held editorial roles with the Harvard Society for Mind, Brain & Behavior. Ryan is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Human Developmental and Regenerative Biology at Harvard University, expected in 2025.
