Vanessa Portillo-Sorto has extensive experience in social services, currently serving as a Family Support Worker at Good Shepherd Hamilton since May 2021, and as a Housing First Caseworker at Summit Housing & Outreach Programs since November 2018. Additional roles include Caseworker at Community Living Ontario since December 2017, focusing on adults and children with developmental delays and mental health issues, and a previous position as a Caseworker for Innomar Strategies, supporting patients on the drug Entyvio for Crohn's disease. Vanessa also worked as a Case Manager at Wesley Urban Ministries for the transitions to Homes program and held a Caseworker role at Good Shepherd Hamilton from May 2016 to May 2017, where responsibilities involved working with homeless adults under the housing first model. Vanessa holds a Diploma in Social Service Work from Sheridan College, earned between 2014 and 2016.
