Julia Barba

Deputy Director Of Community Programs at Community Health Partnership

Julia Barba has a diverse work experience spanning various organizations and roles. Julia began their career in 2008 as a Student Assistant at San Jose State University. Julia then worked as a Telemarketer at J&J Air Conditioning, Inc. from 2010 to 2012. In 2011, they served as a Project Inspire Youth Specialist at YWCA USA and as an HCC Intern at Health Career Connection. In 2012, they worked as a Check & Connect Mentor at SRI International. From 2015 to 2019, Julia held roles at Breathe California of the Bay Area and Campbell Adult and Community Education. Since 2017, they have been working at Community Health Partnership, where they started as a Program Coordinator II before transitioning to roles including Every Woman Counts Director and Deputy Director of Community Programs.

Julia Barba has a strong educational background in public health and health science. In 2011, they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree with a minor in Sociology from San Jose State University. Later, in 2019, they completed their Master of Public Health (MPH) degree with a specialization in Community Health Education from San Francisco State University. Additionally, Julia has obtained two certifications in their field. In July 2019, they obtained the Mental Health First Aid certification from the National Council for Behavioral Health. In September 2017, they also earned the Protecting Human Research Participants certification from the National Institutes of Health Office of Extramural Research.
