Sally Arel has a diverse range of work experience in the fields of budget analysis and finance.

Sally started their career as a Financial Analyst at Verizon Wireless in 1997, where they analyzed financial statements and evaluated customer and dealer credit lines. Sally then moved on to T-Mobile in 2003, taking on the role of Senior Financial Analyst. In this role, they managed a multi-billion dollar portfolio and was responsible for tracking customer attrition and managing agency vendor liquidation.

In 2008, Sally joined the State of Oregon as a Budget Manager, where they managed project budgets totaling $586M and provided fiscal advice and analysis. Sally then transitioned to Genesee & Wyoming Inc. in 2011 as a Railroad Capital Project Accountant, where they negotiated agreements and ensured the safe functionality and growth of the railroad.

In 2013, Sally joined Eastern Washington University as the Budget Services Assistant Director. Here, they promoted budget knowledge throughout the university, conducted comprehensive budget analysis, and prepared fiscal notes for legislative publication. Additionally, they worked as an Adjunct Faculty member, teaching Business Communication.

Sally's most recent position is as a Senior Budget Analyst at CHAS Health, a role they started in 2020.

Sally Arel holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from the University of Washington. Sally also earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Eastern Washington University. In addition, Sally obtained a Master of English with a specialization in Rhetoric & Technical Writing from the same university. Sally Arel has also obtained multiple certifications in Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Office Master 2013, Microsoft Office Specialist Excel Expert 2013, Microsoft Office Specialist Excel 2013, Microsoft Office Specialist PowerPoint 2013, and Microsoft Office Specialist Word 2013.
