Misty Joyner has a strong background in the medical field, with experience working as a Certified Medical Assistant at various healthcare facilities. Misty currently holds the position of Certified Medical Assistant at CHAS Health, starting in February 2021. Prior to this, Misty served as a Certified Medical Assistant Instructor at Carrington College from October 2014 to March 2021, where they successfully taught and mentored students according to a standardized curriculum. Before their teaching role, Misty worked as a Certified Medical Assistant at both Christ Clinic from January 2011 to September 2014, and Spokane Falls Family Clinic from October 2005 to January 2011. In these positions, they were responsible for preparing treatment rooms, conducting preliminary physical tests, and interviewing patients to gather medical history and purpose of visit. Misty brings a wealth of practical experience and strong clinical skills to their current role.

Misty Joyner's education history includes attending Apollo College in Spokane, where they studied Medical Assisting. Misty also studied at Community Colleges of Spokane and obtained an Associate of Arts degree from Spokane Community College. In addition to their formal education, Misty has obtained several certifications, including BLS for Healthcare Providers and BLS for Healthcare Providers Instructor from the American Heart Association, as well as certifications in Communication Studies and Peace Studies from Spokane Community College. Misty is also a Certified Medical Assistant, certified by AAMA and the State of Washington.
