Kate Countryman currently serves as the Head of Communications and Public Affairs at the Community Economic Defense Project since January 2023. Prior to this role, Countryman was the Director of Communications for the Office of U.S. Senator Michael Bennet from April 2020 to January 2023 and served as Communications Director for the Indiana House Democratic Caucus from January 2019 to April 2020. Additional experience includes positions as Press Secretary for Donnelly for Indiana, and various roles in the United States Senate under U.S. Senator Joe Donnelly, as well as account executive at Rasky Baerlein Strategic Communications. Countryman's career began as a Junior Political Associate at Crossroads Campaigns. Countryman holds a Bachelor's degree in History with minors in Political Science and Women's Studies from The University of Scranton.
