Dr. Judith Allen currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer at CIS (Communities In Schools) of Chicago since June 2019, overseeing organizational programming and business operations while aligning with the annual strategic plan. Previously, Dr. Allen held the position of President & CEO at CIS of the Dallas Region, Inc. from July 2014 to May 2019, where a K-12 campus-based program supported at-risk students and their families. Progressive roles within Communities In Schools of the Dallas Region included Mental Health Clinical Coordinator from 2005 to 2007. Earlier experience includes serving as Executive Director at Family and Children's Association, Program Coordinator and Clinical Supervisor at Catholic Charities CYO, and Community Crisis Intervention Officer with the NYPD. Dr. Allen holds a PsyD in clinical child psychology from New York University and both BA and MA degrees in counseling and psychology from the University of Iowa.
