David Williams started their career at Swift Textiles, Inc. in 1979 as an HR and Safety Manager and worked there until 1992. David then joined Russell Licensed Products as an HR Manager from 1993 to 1998. After that, they worked at Char-Broil as an HR and Safety Manager from 1998 to 2006. In 2006, they joined Communicorp, Inc. as a Senior Manager of Support Services and later became an Aflac Strategic Marketing Manager from 2011 to 2012. David continued at Communicorp, Inc. as a Project Manager from 2012 to 2016 and then became the Manager of QA & Fulfillment. As of 2018, they retired from the professional workforce and is now a full-time Grandpa to their three grandchildren.

David Williams received their Bachelor of Science in Education degree in Special Education from Columbus State University, where they studied from 1970 to 1975. David later pursued a Master of Education degree in Learning Disabilities from the same institution, completing their studies from 1970 to 1977.
