David Hargrove has extensive work experience spanning across various industries. David started their career in 1983 in commercial real estate, where they developed, leased, managed, and sold properties in the Dallas Fort Worth area. David worked with notable clients such as Vantage Companies, Trammel Crow, Bradford Companies, and Rosewood Corp. During this time, their expertise included land acquisition, zoning, permitting, and construction of shopping centers, office buildings, and warehouses.
In 1991, Hargrove transitioned to the wireless telecom industry, holding various roles with companies such as American Tower (SpectraSite), AT&T Wireless, LCCI, and Tetra Tech/Whalen & Company. David primarily focused on program and project management of site acquisition, zoning, permitting, collocation sales and operations, construction, and transport activities in multiple cities across the US. David also had full unit P&L responsibility and served as a leader for hundreds of employees, contractors, and vendor relationships.
From 2005 to 2010, Hargrove worked in real estate finance and banking, holding positions ranging from loan officer to Vice President with National and Regional Banking institutions including Bank of America, SunTrust, and First Tennessee Bank. David developed a team of loan officers and operations staff and managed production pipeline of loans for clients. David also created and managed national strategic relationships with owned real estate, builders, investors, and financial companies.
In 2010, Hargrove briefly worked at Nsoro, serving as a Program Manager for the AT&T Turf Contract in the Southeast US. David was responsible for the migration from copper-based assets to fiber optic cable and successfully revived a stalled transport project.
From 2010 to 2011, Hargrove worked at NB&C as the Southeast Regional Manager. In this role, they were responsible for business development, project management, and operations in the Southeast for this wireless site development consulting firm. David oversaw financial performance and project execution for wireless build-outs, including staffing, budgeting, and project initialization and closure for various wireless carriers, OEMs, and tower companies.
From 2011 to 2015, Hargrove worked at PT Access Networks as the Director of Business Development. David was responsible for collocation sales with wireless carriers for Progress Energy's utility infrastructure to generate revenue from underutilized assets. Their duties included negotiating master agreements with wireless carriers, build-to-suit on owned properties, negotiating easements and rights of way, title and survey management, and budget management. David also implemented changes in the company's go-to-market strategy prior to its merger with Duke Energy.
Most recently, since 2015, Hargrove has been working at Communications Tower Group LLC as the Vice President of Business Development.
David Hargrove attended Texas Tech University from 1977 to 1979, but did not obtain a degree or specialize in a particular field of study.
