Xanthi Scrimgeour is a seasoned public health professional with extensive experience in health education and program management. As the Principal and Co-founder of CommunicateHealth, Inc. since May 2022, Xanthi leads the creation of plain language public education materials and health tools for various agencies. Previously, as CEO of CommunicateHealth from January 2009 to May 2022, Xanthi focused on translating complex scientific information into accessible health promotion content. During a tenure as Director of Public Health for the City of Northampton from January 2004 to June 2009, Xanthi was instrumental in developing health policies and enhancing public health initiatives. Xanthi also directed health education and planning at the Massachusetts Department of Public Health from January 1999 to May 2008, managing state-wide health programs. Earlier career roles included Program Supervisor at Eden Housing, Inc., where funding and programming were secured for health services impacting over 700 families. Xanthi holds a Bachelor of Arts from Hampshire College and a Master of Health Education from the California Institute of Integral Studies.
