Riley Smithers is a Graduate Analyst at the Commonwealth Treasury since February 2022, working within both the Macroeconomic Group and the Fiscal Group, after previously serving as an intern in the Revenue Group. Riley is also a Tuckwell Scholar, having received Australia's most prestigious undergraduate scholarship while studying at The Australian National University from 2019 to 2022. Additionally, Riley worked as a Research Assistant at the ANU College of Asia & the Pacific from January 2021 to July 2022, contributing to the 2021 Open Budget Survey at the Tax and Transfer Policy Institute. Riley holds a Bachelor of Economics and Bachelor of Arts, specializing in Econometrics, International Relations, and Mathematics, and completed secondary education at Pimlico State High School from 2014 to 2018.
