Ms. Brewster grew up in Seattle and earned a B.A. at Yale and an M.Phil. at the University of Oxford in English renaissance literature. Before coming to Commonwealth in 2000, she worked in New York in book and magazine publishing and as an English teacher at Trevor Day School. At Commonwealth, she has worked on efforts to smooth students' transition to the program from different backgrounds and schools, served as a representative to the Board, and sung in the chorus and chorale.
