Ganesh Govindasamy is an experienced R&D Applications Engineer specializing in stamping and formability at Commonwealth Rolled Products, Inc. since May 2016, focusing on product R&D and formability analysis for aluminum sheets in automotive applications. Previously, Ganesh held the position of Product Specialist at Forming Technologies Inc., where responsibilities included stamping process modeling and formability analysis. Early in the career, Ganesh worked as an Engineer at Sanmar Group in the Fisher Valve Division, concentrating on cost optimization and parts sourcing for flow control valves. Ganesh holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on sheet metal forming from McMaster University, an MS by Research in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, and a BTech in Production Engineering from Anna University Chennai.
