Tom Looby is a Senior Scientist at Commonwealth Fusion Systems since April 2022, focusing on plasma heat flux. Previous roles include Postdoctoral Researcher at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, where Tom conducted investigations on 3D Tokamak power exhaust and developed software for heat load simulations. Experience as an R&D Graduate Intern at Sandia National Laboratories involved work on pulsed power systems for magnetized liner inertial confinement fusion.
