Muazzam Azam is a highly experienced engineer currently serving as a Senior Instrumentation and Controls System Engineer at Commonwealth Fusion Systems since August 2023. Prior to this, Muazzam worked at SpaceX from August 2016 to July 2023 as a Senior Avionics Systems Engineer, where responsibilities included leading avionics systems integration and testing for the Dragon 1 and supporting the Dragon 2 Crew project. Muazzam also served as a MSD Reliability & Systems Engineer at GE Transportation from July 2012 to August 2016, leading reliability projects and improving analytics algorithms. Muazzam's earlier experience includes positions in teaching, tutoring, and internships, with formal education comprising a Master of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University at Buffalo.
