Steve Hernandes has a diverse work experience in the information technology field. Steve is currently serving as the Director of Information Technology at Commonwealth Electric Company of the Midwest since 2016. Prior to this, they worked at ConAgra Foods as the Manager of Middleware Systems from 2011 to 2015. Steve also held the position of Sr Director Technology Operations at Vertrue from 2008 to 2011. In 2006, Steve worked at Computer Associates as the Vice President, Executive Technology Advisory, where they provided consultation to top clients on technology implementation. Before that, they worked at First Data Corporation for a significant duration in various roles, including Director of Enterprise Systems, Director of Data Center Strategic Planning, and Manager of the Network Group. During their tenure at First Data Corporation, they spoke at conferences such as AFCOM Data Center World and Gartner 24th Annual Data Center Conference.

Steve Hernandes has a strong educational background in the fields of business, international business management, telecommunications, and electronics. Steve earned an AAS in Electronics from Southeast Community College from 1980 to 1984. Later, from 1987 to 1989, they attended the College of Saint Mary where they pursued an AAS in Telecommunications. After that, they enrolled at Bellevue University and completed a Bachelor of Science degree in International Business Management from 1996 to 1998. Following this, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at Bellevue University, which they obtained from 1998 to 2002.
