Anissa Routon is a seasoned communications professional with extensive experience in healthcare and organizational communications. Currently serving as the Strategic Communications Lead at CommonSpirit Health since June 2019, Anissa is responsible for the development and implementation of enterprise-wide communications aligned with the organization's strategic roadmap, partnering with Marketing and Brand to engage over 150,000 employees and support growth initiatives. Prior roles include System Senior Director of Division Communications during the COVID-19 pandemic response at CommonSpirit Health, as well as Senior Director of Communications and Director of Communications at Dignity Health, focusing on internal and external communications strategies. Anissa's diverse experience extends to leadership roles at Californians for Patient Care, UC Davis Health System, California Bankers Association, Andersen Tax, and Experian, where a strong emphasis was placed on strategic oversight, media relations, and crisis communications. Anissa holds a Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism and American Literature from the University of Southern California.
