Barbara Becker Bruno has extensive experience in leadership roles within organizations focused on community and health services. Currently serving as the Assistant Vice President for Older Adult Services at Samuel Field Y since April 2017, Barbara oversees clinical and administrative functions for seven programs dedicated to serving the older adult population in Central Queens. Previously, Barbara held the position of Assistant Director of Network Care Management at Montefiore Medical Center from September 2005 to December 2016, where responsibilities included management of outreach initiatives for care management programs. Earlier in Barbara’s career, achievements included administration of New York City's largest Naturally Occurring Retirement Community at Gloria Wise Boys and Girls Club and leadership in mental health services at Fordham-Tremont Community Mental Health Center. Barbara holds a Master of Social Work from Hunter College School of Social Work and a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and Spanish from SUNY New Paltz.
