Scott Ames-Messinger is the founder of Common Curriculum, an innovative online lesson planning platform launched in 2009 to assist teachers and schools in collaboratively planning and aligning instruction. Prior to this role, Scott served as a Curriculum Writer and Professional Development Facilitator for Baltimore City Public Schools from July 2006 to August 2012, focusing on first-grade math curriculum and professional development. Scott also gained experience as a teacher, instructing first grade across all subjects and teaching fourth and fifth-grade math and science. Early career experience includes a financial analyst internship at Johnson & Johnson, where significant contributions were made to analyze global RD&E business plans and competitive spending. Scott holds a Master of Arts in Teaching from The Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with Honors from Bucknell University, complemented by training at the London Dramatic Academy.
