Michael Moreland has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. Michael started their career as a Russian Linguist in the U.S. Army from July 2002 to October 2004. Following this, they worked as a Volunteer Support Staff at The Navigators from January 2005 to August 2005. In 2010, Michael had two internships - one as a Writing and Research Intern at Atlantic Initiative from June 2010 to July 2010, and another as an International Investments Intern at the International Trade Administration from September 2010 to December 2010. Michael then joined Hobsons in October 2012 as an End User Support Specialist until February 2013, and later worked as a Member Consultant from March 2013 to June 2014. Continuing their career, Michael joined Common App in July 2014 as an Account Manager until February 2015. Michael then became an Implementation Specialist from March 2015 to November 2015 and currently holds the position of Senior Manager, Member Recruitment since December 2015.
Michael Moreland completed their Bachelor of Arts in International Studies and Russian at the University of South Carolina from 2005 to 2008. Michael then pursued an Associate of Arts in Russian at the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center in 2003. Later on, Michael obtained their Master of Arts in International Security from the University of Denver, where they studied from 2009 to 2011. Additionally, in April 2023, they received certification as a Certified SAFe® 6 Scrum Master from Scaled Agile, Inc.
