Ket Troxell began their career at Arthur Young in 1987, where they worked in tax until 1992. In 1989, they joined Ernst and Young as a Manager, specializing in tax for real estate and high net worth individuals. Ket'sclients included Trammell Crow, Avalon Bay, Mills Corp, and Oliver Carr. In 1992, Ket Troxell joined Combined Properties, Incorporated as a Senior Vice President.

Ket Troxell pursued higher education at Lafayette College from 1976 to 1980, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics. Following their undergraduate studies, they went on to attend The George Washington University School of Business from 1985 to 1987, earning a Master of Science degree in TAX.
