Martin Cortijo is an experienced technology transfer manager with over two decades of expertise in the pharmaceutical and manufacturing sectors. Currently at Combe Incorporated since February 2001, Martin oversees technical transfers and the operational aspects of the R&D laboratory in Puerto Rico. Previously, Martin worked as a process engineer at The SEARLE Company Ltd., supporting manufacturing operations for solids and aerosols from August 1998 to January 2001. Earlier career stages included a role as a technical services specialist at Danbury Pharmacal P. R., Inc., where responsibilities included designing and implementing the Packaging Validation Program and coordinating the first product start-up activities. Martin holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Universidad de Puerto Rico and an Associate Degree in Science from University of Puerto Rico-Bayamon.
