Geoffrey Lyons has worked in various roles in the political and media industries since 2010. In 2010, they were a Fundraising Assistant and Finance Intern for Scott Murphy (D-NY) For Congress, where they were responsible for soliciting large donors, raising an average of $315.00 per hour, and garnering last-minute support for the campaign. In 2011, they were a Finance Intern for Jerry McNerney (D-CA) For Congress. In 2012, they were a Press Intern for Senator Barbara Boxer (D-CA), an Intern for the Global Intellectual Property Center, and a Content Manager for Columbia Books, where they wrote lead articles for a popular monthly and worked closely with reporters at POLITICO, The Hill, and other news organizations to increase visibility.

Geoffrey Lyons attended Georgetown University from 2008 to 2012, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Political Science and Government. Geoffrey also studied International Relations at The University of Edinburgh in 2011, and attended The George Washington University from 2008 to 2009.
