Kathleen Morrill Pirovich is a Senior Computational Scientist specializing in Genome Analysis at Colossal Biosciences since February 2023. Previously, Kathleen served as a PhD Candidate at UMass Chan Medical School in the Karlsson Laboratory, focusing on the genetic factors associated with psychiatric disorders between September 2016 and February 2023. Prior to this role, Kathleen was a Graduate Intern at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory in the Dubnau Laboratory, working on neurodegeneration mechanisms, and had earlier internships at the National Cancer Institute and Maryland Medical Center. Kathleen holds a Ph.D. in Biological and Biomedical Sciences from UMass Chan Medical School and a Bachelor of Science in Biological Chemistry from Bates College, where undergraduate research included genetic diversity studies.
