Jennifer Ochs is an experienced instructor and logistics coordinator currently working at Colorado Outward Bound School since May 2023, where responsibilities include leading whitewater rafting, canoeing, and backpacking expeditions while teaching technical and interpersonal skills. Prior experience includes serving as a GIS Specialist for Virginia Tech College of Natural Resources and Environment, contributing to an Urban Forest Management Plan, and managing over 30 adventure trips as the Venture Out Trips Supervisor at Virginia Tech. Additionally, Jennifer has engaged in various research positions, including work on urban reforestation and remote sensing projects, and has a background in recreation impact monitoring for the National Park Service. Jennifer holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Data Science from Virginia Tech, with participation in a faculty-led study abroad program in Australia.
