Kody began adventuring up to the High Trails Outdoor Education Center in 2015 as a teacher, supporting his middle school students at camp during the best week of their year! In 2018, Kody spent the summer at Big Spring Ranch for Boys as the art coordinator and enjoyed creating experiences for campers to explore their imaginations in new and creative ways. Kody continued to come up from Colorado Springs to camp for staff trainings and workshops, contributing to the environment and community that he cherishes being a part of. He received a B.A. in Theater Education and M.A. in Human Communication from the University of Northern Colorado. He also has a minor in History and certification in leadership from the UNC in Greeley, CO not NC! After six years teaching in a classroom and directing almost a dozen shows for the school’s drama club, Kody turned his sights to COEC as the director of HTOEC.
