Dr. Carrie Brunson is an experienced Advanced Practice Nurse currently working at Mayo Clinic Health System since May 2023 and serving as Adjunct Faculty at Denver College of Nursing since January 2023. With a rich background in nursing education and patient care, Dr. Brunson tutors future nursing professionals at Colorado Center For Nursing Excellence and operates Pinnacle Pain Consulting LLC, which specializes in developing effective pain management programs for healthcare organizations. Dr. Brunson has held significant roles in various organizations, including Co-Chair of the ASPMN National Task Force On Pain Outcome Metrics and a former Regional Director of Professional Practice at Banner Health. A strong advocate for evidence-based practice, Dr. Brunson’s contributions in pain management, nursing leadership, and clinical education reflect a dedication to improving patient outcomes and healthcare quality.
