Jeff Hayes

Vice President Of Housing Operations at Collegiate Housing Services

Jeff Hayes has extensive work experience in the hospitality industry. Jeff started their career as a General Manager at Signature Inn from 1991 to 1995. Jeff then moved on to Marriott International where they served as a General Manager from 1997 to 2000. Hayes was promoted and relocated by Marriott to operate a 126-unit Residence Inn, achieving a 5% increase in annualized budgeted revenue. From 2000 to 2002, they spearheaded the overall operations of the Residence Inn at the historic Milwaukee Road Depot for CSM Corporation. Jeff directed a successful and timely opening, developed an opening budget, and implemented financial analysis and revenue management. When they joined BridgeStreet Worldwide in 2002, Hayes served as a General Manager responsible for directing sales initiatives and developing key client relationships. Jeff successfully grew market share, resulting in an 80% increase in revenue from top ten accounts. In 2006, Hayes joined Oakwood Worldwide as a District Manager, overseeing operations and inside sales for a district covering multiple states. Jeff was later promoted to Regional Operations Manager, leading a team of 12 managers and over 150 associates across various locations. Since 2019, Hayes has been serving as the Vice President of Housing Operations at Collegiate Housing Services.

Jeff Hayes attended Purdue University from 1987 to 1991, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Restaurant, Hotel and Institutional Management. In 1998, they also completed a workshop called "The Business Behind the Magic," which was offered by The Walt Disney Company.
