James T Ray is an experienced Physical Education Teacher and Coach currently working at College Station ISD since July 2017, focusing on mentoring children to promote healthy lifestyles. Concurrently, James operates Sergeant Rays Combat & Fitness, where athletic training and self-defense instruction are provided to both professional and non-professional athletes. Additionally, James serves as a Boxing Coach for USA Boxing, Inc., training a diverse range of boxers. Previous roles include Assistant Athletic Director and Head Coach at St. Joseph Catholic School and Assistant Physical Education Coach at Sam Houston Elementary. James served in the US Army from August 2003 to April 2015 in various roles, including Petroleum Lab Supervisor and Army Mentor Observer Instructor. Academic credentials include a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from Sam Houston State University and an Associate of Arts from Blinn College.
