Elsje Van der Maar has significant experience in education, serving as a Docent Duits at College de Heemlanden since August 2013. In this role, Elsje has also taken on various responsibilities including being a member of the (V)GMR Stichting HIJN and Stichting Soosvoh, and a member of the working group focused on the renewal of the A+ educational concept for accelerated and enriched students. Other positions held include Coordinator A+ onderbouw, Coach for A+ upper-level students, Mentor for accelerated VWO students, and trainer for new and existing teachers. Previously, from August 2000 to July 2013, Elsje worked at Anna van Rijn College as a Schoolopleider and Docent Duits, mentoring students with learning difficulties and socio-emotional challenges, while also serving as a Decaan voor onderbouw. Education was completed at HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht from 1996 to 2000.
