Spencer Burgoyne has been working in the software engineering industry since 2008. From 2008 to 2009, they were an Information Systems Intern at Northrop Grumman Corporation. From 2009 to 2012, they worked as a Java Developer at Partnet, Inc. and a Software Developer at CVS Caremark Corporation. From 2012 to 2015, they were a Lead Engineer and Technical Delivery Manager at Consensus Corporation. From 2015 to 2019, they were a Senior Engineering Manager at Target. Currently, they are an Engineering Manager at Collective Medical a PointClickCare Company.

Spencer Burgoyne attended the University of Utah from 2004 to 2009, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science. Prior to that, they attended Taylorsville High School from 1998 to 2001. In addition, they obtained a certification in Functional Programming Principles in Scala from Coursera in November 2012.
