Dominica Taylor has a diverse range of work experience, starting in 2018 with an internship at PO-TEN-CY, a food delivery service. Dominica was responsible for building the online presence and Instagram growth, as well as assisting in photography shoots. In 2018-2019, they worked as a Marketing and Field Sales Intern at Happy Culture Kombucha, where they maintained relationships with existing accounts, acquired new ones, and helped build brand awareness through events and tastings.
In 2019, Dominica took on multiple freelance roles. Dominica worked as a Copywriter for Cape Concierge, creating property brochures and local guides. Dominica also worked as a Content Creator for OurHood, where they developed social media and content strategies and assisted with conferences and events.
Dominica also freelanced as a Writer for Holistica Magazine, contributing regular articles, and as a Content Writer for Luxury Beach House Rentals, where they produced content. Dominica was employed as a Waste Management Team member at The Sustainable Cooperative (SCOOP), where they researched and developed policies for the transition to the Circular Economy and created infrastructure.
In 2020, Dominica worked as an Operations Executive at Doisy & Dam, an ethical chocolate company, where they helped challenge the confectionary industry by promoting palm-oil and dairy-free chocolate. Later in the same year, they returned to SCOOP as a Waste Management Team member.
From 2021 to 2023, Dominica worked at AKOJO MARKET, an ethical marketplace. Dominica started as a Freelance Copywriter and then took on the role of Creative Ops, Copywriting & Brand Liaison Manager. Later, they became the Partnerships & Comms Lead, where they acted as the main point of contact for all brand accounts and was responsible for connecting artisan makers to international markets.
Most recently, in 2023, Dominica started working as a New Business Associate at Collectiv Food.
Dominica Taylor attended the University of Bristol from 2015 to 2018, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in History. Their field of study during this time was Humanities/Humanistic Studies. In 2020, they attended TU Delft - Edx for a brief period, studying Circular Economy: An Introduction. However, they did not obtain a degree from this institution.
