Zachary Yale has extensive experience in the field of software development. Zachary currently holds the position of Full Stack Developer at Collage HR since 2021. Prior to this, from 2019 to 2021, they worked as a Backend Developer at ecobee where they designed and developed features for a demand response dispatching platform and maintained and developed new functionality for a frontend web experience. Zachary also participated in on-call rotations as an L1 and developed an asynchronous daily pipeline for verifying online statuses of thermostats using Kubernetes and GCP PubSub messages.
Before joining ecobee, Zachary worked as a Space Systems Operations Intern at Defence Research and Development Canada from 2017 to 2018. Zachary also served as an Instructor at Robogals Global from 2016 to 2017 and as a Technical Mentor at enLIGHT Canada for Hackference 2016. In addition, they gained experience as a Full-Stack Developer intern at Wave Music, where they developed a technical MVP using Node.js and Firebase. Prior to that, they worked as an iOS Developer for Queen's University IT Services in 2015, where they developed comprehensive project goals and maintained regular communications between team members.
Zachary's work experience also includes a volunteering position as a Special Assistant at Toronto City Hall in 2014, where they handled various responsibilities such as communicating with constituents, database input, and assisting with office research.
Zachary Yale pursued their education at Queen's University from 2014 to 2019, where they obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) degree in Computer Engineering.
