Richard Block has extensive experience in local government, currently serving as the Chief Operating Officer at Colchester City Council since December 2017, with previous roles including Interim Chief Operating Officer and Assistant Director positions. Prior to this, Richard held the position of Head of Housing and Environmental Services at Broadland District Council from January 2012 to December 2017, and served as Service Manager at Westminster City Council from August 2003 to December 2011. Richard Block possesses a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Health from Nottingham Trent University, a Post Graduate Diploma in Management Studies from the University of Westminster, and an ILM Level 7 Award in Strategic Leadership from KBA Solutions.
